Directorate Departmental Accounts, Uttarakhand serves as a pivotal institution in the Accounts Cadre administration of the state. Formerly known as “Lekha Evam Hakdari Uttarakhand”, the department was reorganized and renamed on 28th February 2015.
The primary function of the Directorate is the management of Accounts Cadre employees posted across various government departments in Uttarakhand. The department oversees all service-related matters of these personnel — including transfers, postings, promotions, and other administrative concerns — ensuring transparency, consistency, and efficiency in cadre management.
